Ruthann is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She maintains a private practice on Route 40 in the Brownsville/California area. She has been happily married for over thirty years. Ruthann and her husband Lee have successfully raised four children and have one grandchild. In counseling her clients Ruthann uses a warm collaborative coaching style; she views counseling as a partnership with her clients. She has certification in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and the Gottman Method of marriage counseling. Although Ruthann works with clients from all faiths and backgrounds, her personal commitment to Biblical principals have served as a guidepost in her own life and for those clients seeking counseling from a Christian perspective this service is available upon request.

Ruthann received her training experience at Mercy Behavioral Health in the adult partial hospitalization unit located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Additionally, she gained specific addiction training at Gateway Rehabilitation Services. She served as an adjunct member of Waynesburg University counseling faculty where she served as the internship program liaison. She is experienced in treating individuals, couples and families.
