Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (NC)
A Hero's Journey(AHJ) is a Community Based Program that focuses on the single-family population residing in low-income communities throughout Greensboro, North Carolina. AHJ works closely with other community-based organizations, churches, the public school system, the juvenile court system and teen and college age counselors to enact a well-rounded community approach with emphasis on character development, self esteem, academic success and substance abuse prevention/intervention
Dr. Daniels is the therapist at AHJ and furnishs direct counseling to families and adolescents. Dr. Daniels specializes in group therapy with adolescent, single parent, first time offenders, and various types of groups. AHJ services includes working with children and adolescents (ages 7 through 18) with various emotional, educational, developmental, and behavioral challenges.
AHJ also work with adults with various psychological, interpersonal, and "life related" struggles. Our goal is to assist individuals and families address issues that are not easily resolved.
Dr. Daniels has a been in the business of helping individuals and families since 1995. Dr. Daniels has worked in group homes for high risk adolescents for 8 years; psychiatric facility for youth and adolescents for 3; Special education teacher for cross categorical class for 1 and supervisor for community therapeutic teams support for 3 years. Individual , addiction and family counseling for 7.
