With nearly 35 years in practice, I have found that most clients need a combination of support, insight, and challenging interactions to help them grow and move past obstacles they are facing. I work with individuals and couples on the most intimate aspects of their lives, including their sexuality, relationships, and life and death issues. My style is interactive, and employs uncovering family of origin dynamics, but also more practical, cognitive and behavioral methods to help make changes more quickly. Since my schedule varies from week to week, new patients please message me so that we can set up a convenient time for an initial consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.
My specialty is in all aspects of loss, as reflected in relationship and family conflicts, sexual concerns and difficulties, and the emotional impact of medical illness, infertility, and bereavement. I have extensive experience helping couples and individuals from diverse backgrounds and the LGBTQ community. Please be aware that for teletherapy, I can only work with people who live in New York State, where I am licensed as a Psychologist.
